Trying to Keep the Customer Satisfied…
August 3rd, 2005So we said that we weren’t gonna make any new songs and instead just finish the old ones we had. Oops, Andrew ended up recording a demo for a new song that’s better than all our other songs so far, so I guess that means we should probably do that one.
On a different tangent, no one can ever convince me that the 80′s created good music because if you try to convince me of that you’re probably a liar. Oh, and this just in, Interpol is still not very good no matter how much you say differently. If you like 1-2 loud snare drumming on every song, that’s alright, not all bands need songs with different timing, or versatility, or vision, or creativity. If you like a singer whose heavily synthesized delivery is so monotone that it borders on self-parody; hey that’s cool, too, computer vocal effects can be just as interesting as talent and/or personality, right? If you like being attacked by every instrument in the band at once that’s cool, I guess; just don’t try to convince me that it’s not worthless/annoying/loud/boring/been done/et al.
On a third tangent, the Inuit Jargon side project, The Boriqua Mafia, will soon be in full effect.
On a fourth tangent, the Jargon is officially legit. At least according to The Bell website. Below I produce for you Exhibit A:
