October: A Month in Inuit Jargon (Part 2)

November 7th, 2006

October 28th found the Jargon heading out and about.

The University of South Florida beckoned us, and we were more than happy to respond to the call along with Morningbell.

We hit them with our “America” themed set and an unplanned, epic 10 minute version of Jada Pinkett Smith that can be found

Excuse the awkwardness, the song was never planned. And anyway, awkward transitions are part of the fun, right? The “song” doesn’t even really start until 2 minutes into the recording after everyone finished setting up, and then it really kicks into high gear at minute 4.

Overall the response was amazing from the few people who showed up. We all decided that that was one of the most fun shows we’ve played, and it was totally cool to hang out with The Bell and watch their hour and 15 minute long set.

Stacie on keyboards not pictured. But she remains in our hearts.

And we even sold a CD while we were down there. Four people who came to the show together put their money together to buy a copy of Hot From the Oven. I imagine when they get home they will promptly make another 3 bootlegged copies.

In other news we sold out of shirts this month. That means new designs! Woooo!
