Well its the last day of May, and I’ve been on vacation for about a month now. We’ve gotten alot accomplished. One song is finshed. Three are almost there. We’ve got about 11 more songs to either finish writing or begin recording. We’re working with about 15 songs to record, and about 9 of them are going to be new, the other 6 are ones we’re redoing that we made at school. The recording process has been going alot faster this past week, so hopefully we’ll at least be able to record all the songs by the end of summer, and have the album out in October or November.
Song of the Week: And We Danced by The Hooters

So over the past few days i’ve gotten a bunch of new ideas, some good some bad. One or two are for new songs, so I’m hoping those will work out. Then i came up with some ideas on how to make Nail Clippers more awesome. That song is almost completely done, we just need to re-record some vocals for it and then it should be done. Maybe we’ll post it on the site just so we can prove to you that we actually are making a real cd. Then I was working on Ice Cream Social, and I realized that that song is totally boring. So now it’s most likely going to be a hot Brit-pop number in the style of XTC or something like that. Speaking of awesome Brit-pop, I saw Snow Patrol last night with Julie. It was pretty awesome, mostly because they’re British, and all the best music comes from the U.K. I would be lying if I didn’t say that the show led to my new ideas for Ice Cream Social, but that’s besides the point. I just finished recording drums for the new version, and I’ll be working on it alot more today because it’s my only day off this week. Oh also, I’m going to go to Best Buy to get the Adventures of Pete and Pete dvd. DERP!

So last night was Inuit Jargon’s first public appearance. Thanks to Beth for hosting the event and letting us play at your pretend wedding. The Jargon is officially taking bookings for all pretend weddings and Bar Mitzvahs. Here’s the setlist from what I can recall, seeing as we just kind of winged it:
Nail Clippers
Baba O’Reilly (kinda)
Good Luck Maria
the last part of Stairway until Shaun forgot the words after the first line
Punkie Brewster
Goin To The Beach
Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End (played 3 or 4 times until everyone in attendance heard it)
It was really cool, and special thanks to Audra for pointing out how much our lyrics suck.
